Creating an Impact

As part of our “Impact” pillar, our goal is to inspire and impact the next generation of Latina leaders through mentorship opportunities and by partnering with educational organizations.

As such, in the Fall of 2023, we launched the L500 Mentorship Program in partnership with The University of Texas, through which we connected 5 UT students with 5 L500 mentors. For this launch, we hosted a Fall Mentorship Luncheon in Austin in September 2023, where the mentees and mentors were able to connect in person and the mentees were able to learn from the professional experience of the leaders through thoughtful discussions and interactive questions.

The mentees were then matched with a specific mentor, where they were able to connect individually and continue to foster that relationship over the next few months.

We regrouped in April 2024 to host our L500 Spring Mentorship Luncheon, where the mentors and mentees gathered again together to discuss career advice focused on the theme of how to advocate for yourself.

A huge appreciation to our mentors for sharing their invaluable experience with the students. We look forward to continuing to grow and evolve our mentorship program in 2024 and beyond.
